Atlanta, GA — The Beam Team is proud to announce the successful completion of a dynamic renovation at Midtown Bowl, one of Atlanta’s most beloved entertainment destinations in the heart of Midtown. Commissioned by STHRN Hospitality Co., the project transformed an underutilized arcade area into an elevated bar and lounge experience, breathing new life into the venue while keeping the doors open for guests throughout the entire construction process.

Reimagining the Space
The renovation began with the demolition of the existing arcade area and portions of the original kitchen, clearing the way for a more functional and guest-forward layout. One of the standout achievements of the project was reconfiguring kitchen operations to keep the venue fully open during construction. This was a logistical challenge that required careful phasing and close day-to-day coordination with Southern Hospitality Group’s operations team.
Scope of Work
The Beam Team’s work at Midtown Bowl included:
- Bar Expansion — The bar was extended into the former arcade footprint, adding 20 feet of additional bar top surface, along with a new ceiling, updated electrical and low-voltage systems, and fresh tile flooring throughout.
- Kitchen Reconfiguration — Dividing walls were constructed within the kitchen to separate active service areas during construction.
- Pass-Through Window Bar Top — A new pass-through window bar top was built to streamline service flow between the kitchen and bar areas.
- Custom Millwork — New millwork was installed across the front of the bar, adding a polished, refined look that elevates the overall aesthetic of the space.
- VIP Privacy Curtains — Privacy curtains were installed for the VIP area, giving guests an exclusive, intimate experience within the venue.
