The Opportunity
Plans called for a complete interior remodel. This encompassed steel framing, drywall, interior paint, new floor tiles, grind and polish of sales floors, kitchen remodels with new power supply and HVAC system, new signage and vinyl wall coverings, Market Grill Express millwork, roofing, and various equipment and lighting installation. The Beam Team acted as the GC to ensure that the job site was properly managed and deadlines were met.
The largest obstacle was managing the store remodel while doors remained open with material and labor shortages. Other complications arose when existing equipment was damaged, and MEPs were delivered damaged by the supplier.
